– This man, Melamed Maickel, finished the Chicago Marathon yesterday. What makes that so remarkable? He is battling Muscular Dystrophy; it took him about 16-hours, but he finished. I would like to state that any excuse I have or thought I might have, is now invalid.
I am on Day-7, or a third of the way to my goal! This morning when my alarm went off at 5am, I did not hesitate to get out of bed, I won’t say I jumped out singing a tune, but I did get right up and start getting ready for 5:30 boot camp.
The next two days will be a bit of a challenge; I have to travel for work and I have been trying to work out in my head how I get my blog and my workout in over the next couple of days. Tomorrow I have two options – 1. Get up extra early, hit the gym at 5am for a quick 30-minute run, come home shower, and hit the road (have to leave by 6:15). This option allows me to have a cocktail with dinner :). or 2. Sleep in a little later, hit the road at 6:15, work all day when I get to my destination, have dinner without a cocktail, and do a 30-minute run at the hotel fitness center…decision, decisions. I will likely go with the former.
Have a great evening everyone!
Until tomorrow…
